Just got my reading caught up and now a quick blog before my brother comes over. I finally got the "discount" prices for the computer and they add up to more than the advertised prices! So I will put the computer on hold. I wonder how Best Buy figures they're giving their employees a discount if it costs more than the walk-in price? I've heard strange things about Best Buy and their practices and I think I will never set foot in the place again. No wonder my son keeps screaming to quit and no wonder there is a web site called Best Buy Sux hosted by a disgruntled employee!
I got to work before the ice storm hit this morning and it was over before I came home so I was not exposed to the rash of accidents that occured in the Pittsburgh area during the rush hour. Praise God! Work was again pretty slow today. I need to stir myself up and get something accomplished soon.
Well, that's about all I can think of for now. Take Care and be blessed!

Yesterday I posted this at "Excellence In Worship": I wrote a song awhile back that we will be preparing to do in church. If you want to hear it, the windows media file and a pdf file are here. (If you have any trouble downloading it, let me know and I'll post a more 56K friendly version.)
I have alot more songs I'd like to record and put online but I never seem to be motivated enough to accomplish that mission. Maybe after the band does the above song in a service I can post the band version.
Nothing much else has been occuring the past couple of days. I still haven't gotten my son to get me prices for the computer and I'm about to scrap that idea as I don't need the hassle right now. His excuse is he's got other things on his mind. I've been spending alot of time trying to get his return to school accomplished, like finding the classes he needs, getting the loans for him, trying to get his present loans defered for him, while he does absolutely nothing to contribute to the effort. I just got his bank statement and all the money he's made this summer at two different jobs appears to have been spent. Apparently he wants to learn life's lessons the hard way and I'm about to let that happen. On top of that, the car he calls his own which I have been making the payments on needs a new licnse and an inspection, along with new wires and plugs. On top of that he needs to get his driver's license renewed. Guess who's decided he's not going to do it? It probably sounds like I'm trying to be vengeful but I just can't take this attitude anymore and I think that he needs to start standing on his own two feet. As far as my work is concerned, it's that time of year when it's pretty hard to do much of anything, sitting around waiting for Christmas and some vacation time. I'm trying to get a couple of jobs ready for our guys but they haven't even come around to see what's available. I suppose alot of them have taken time off due to just coming back from a job that lasted a couple of months. I don't care, I'd just like to be informed.
Well that's enough for now. I'm off to read blogs.

I still haven't got the price for my new computer. My son came home with the prices listed on the tag, not the discount price. Yesterday we got up and went to get my driver's license photo and then to buy a new sofa and chair which will be delivered on Thursday. We also stopped at the mall to get my wife's glasses adjusted and ended up buying a new coat for her and a couple of shirts for myself. After that we went to lunch and then we then returned home. I had enough time to get a lesson ready for band practice then off to the church. Practice went well and the service was great.
Today its off to Sam's Club, the Half-Price Bookstore, Ikea, and who knows where else. We really need to do some Christmas shopping but we really don't have any idea what most of those on our lists want so we most likely will continue to put that off.
Have a great Sunday and don't forget that: God IS Good!
Go to The Prayer List , don't forget the others in need!
You're Invited!!
Will you please continue to pray for allisonroberta. She's been having a lot of trouble seeing well and may need surgery.
Would you continue to pray for Carol's (Hedgie) daughter Beth?
